Teatrul Vienez de Copii (The Viennese Children’s Theatre) – “Children Play Theatre” is a non-governmental, non-profit and apolitical association founded with the aim of developing the communication skills of children and young people in various fields (literature, art, etc.) in order to develop their creativity and broaden their horizon of knowledge. The Vienna Children’s Theatre was founded in 1994 by Sylvia Rotter to give children and young people creative access to world literature – an approach that is not about passive behaviour, but rather allows children and young people to be ACTIVE and CREATIVE themselves. Since 2014, the Vienna Children’s Theatre in Romania has built one of the largest cultural and educational initiatives with a focus on theatre and creative development in the classroom, which is expanding across the country. So far, 13 conferences have been held in different large cities in Romania, with more than 11,000 teachers and 100,000 children already participating.
